The Day After

Well, we didn't do a heck of a lot today. I wasn't feeling the greatest, and must have slept 5-6 hours after we got home - in 2 stages. I'm thinking I'm a bit dehydrated, so I've been scoffing down the water.

We did go get a picture of King Kong lying down (good for you, if you can see him).

Then we went down to Kealia Beach to watch the waves and some kids boogie boarding. They were having a blast.

Technically, no one was supposed to go into the water today. Surfers are an exception, it seems.

The cruise ship that had been in harbour went sailing by as well. They had sent it out to sea last night before the tsunami was to hit.

That's pretty much it for today.

  1. So glad that you guys are safe! We got the Tsunami warning in California then heard it had already hit Hawaii! We were moving to Lake Havasu so had to wait patiently to check your post. Sleeping in a mustang probably took you back in time to the drive-in days. Stay safe and enjoy the rest of your celebration in Hawaii! Love from Judy & John

  2. Glad to read that you're safe. I found your blog link on another blog I follow and have caught up to your vacation so far. It's nice to go on a virtual trip since a real one is not possible at the moment.

  3. Hi Deb and Gerry, so glad you are safe. Really enjoying reading your blog. Traditional postcards just don't cut it anymore. I have to be honest - I can't see king kong. Are you sure you took a picture of the right mountain? It shouldn't be that hard! Stay safe and enjoy yourselves. Sue and Bryan
